October 21/22 regional stress test replaces October 19; open participation and stress-realm wipe are official, not permanent launch access.Official
WOW FOREVER · BETA HELP
WoW Forever Beta install and access
Check WoW Forever Beta eligibility, Battle.net client visibility and installation steps, then separate invitation and subscription questions from launch errors.
Quick answer
For the open October 21 stress test, you do not need an active subscription, Game Time or Beta invitation. Choose the separate WoW Forever Stress Test client in Battle.net. Ordinary Beta access remains a different entitlement question; the existing purchase/invitation checks below apply to Beta, not a requirement to buy into the free stress event.

Try this first
- If you bought a digital Epic Pack or Warcraft Forever Collection, sign into the exact Battle.net account used for the purchase. No separate code is normally required.OfficialView evidence
- If you were selected through Beta opt-in, check that same selected account.OfficialView evidence
- In Battle.net, choose World of Warcraft: Forever Beta under In Development, then install it.OfficialView evidence
If that does not work
- Fully exit and restart Battle.net, then check the Game Version menu again.
- If a physical edition is involved, check the purchase email for any redemption instructions before assuming the entitlement is missing.
- If access still does not appear on the correct account, treat it as a possible account/access issue rather than forcing an install.
Stress test moved to October 21; open access is not Beta entitlement
Blizzard's October 16 correction moves the open server stress event from October 19 to October 21, with East Asian starts on October 22. No active subscription or Beta invitation is needed. Beta temporarily closes around the event; the separate stress realms use temporary characters and a complete wipe. Use the dedicated stress-test guide for the regional clock and separate Battle.net installation. Do not confuse this event with October 27 Name Reservation or November's full launch.
