Kaivax confirms a Beta hotfix for the bug preventing Druids from looting the relics needed to acquire Cat Form. The earlier October 16 reports in the same thread predate that reply and remain historical evidence, not proof the issue is still universally broken. Retest the intended quest interaction on the current client. If it recurs, preserve the quest and report build, relic and time; the statement does not promise a safe abandon/reacquire workaround or repair every Druid mechanic.
October 15 update: current scope and practical distinction

Current status, version and historical scope
Read each dated entry, not only the thread title. A promise of a next/later-build fix is not a release receipt. September 24's scoped memory/display fixes and October 8's incoming-Rage corrections are published changes; the older Dual Wield hit entry must be read against its later correction. A broad no-loot-creature interaction change does not certify every quest object repaired.
Active: official known issues
The October 1 official list includes delayed precast visuals when chaining spells, parry/block from behind at very close range, Gamepad UI switching resetting Edit Mode, oversized installation, Scroll of Liminal Passage, Mage Research access and some debuffs failing to cause threat. For rear parry/block, Blizzard advises not standing too close. Later-build fixes remain Official until published as resolved.
Fixed in the September 24 update
Blizzard confirms a fix for one memory leak behind gradual performance degradation for some players and fixes for Mac water and other display artifacts. These scoped fixes do not mean all low FPS or Mac problems are gone.
Community Reported: issues to check
Some players continue to report low FPS or stutter, Mac lighting or shadow trouble, No Realms and queue disconnections, addon profile trouble and Gamepad UI limitations. Results differ after updates, so follow the issue-specific guide and compare the current client rather than an old Beta build.
Unverified: causes and universal fixes
No reviewed source confirms one cause for every remaining slowdown, crash, SavedVariables failure or disconnect. A forum workaround should not be treated as a Blizzard fix or a guarantee.
October 1 changes that are not universal fixes
Ray Traced Shadows is deliberately unavailable pending a future fix. Auction House suffix display and party-leader world-instance transfers have scoped official corrections. The Warrior supplement says the Dual Wield Specialization hit bug was corrected even though the earlier Known Issues snapshot still lists it; use the newer supplement for that specific claim.
Hunter pet ability correction
Blizzard says some tameable beasts had ability ranks too high for their level, which could make a pet forget an ability. October 1 reports those ranks corrected and says forgetting should not happen after this fix. If it still occurs, record the pet, ability and updated client in a new bug report rather than presenting the old cause as an unchanged current issue. No universal retraining workaround is established here.
Character restoration and apparent faction locks
October 2 players report failed restoration, name-conflict errors and an apparent opposite-faction restriction after deleting characters. These are Community Reported symptoms; the server-side cause, faction population explanation and a reliable recovery procedure are Unverified. Avoid deleting another character to test a workaround. Record the exact error and realm and submit a Beta bug report.
Deadmines Error #132: one reproducible report
One October 2 player documents a repeatable ACCESS_VIOLATION at the same Deadmines location on their client, including crashes with addons disabled, cache cleared and DX11. Leaving the group briefly allowed that character to load, but a new run crashed again at the same location. This is a Community Reported case, not a Blizzard-confirmed general Deadmines bug or reliable fix. If affected, preserve the crash report and send the exact location, client version and steps to the Beta bug forum.
Retrieving Character List after the update
Several October 1–2 forum participants report being stuck at Retrieving Character List. Check current maintenance and patching status before local troubleshooting. No reviewed official source establishes a single root cause or guaranteed local recovery for every affected account.
Fixed: Titan Relic follow-up item return — October 8
Blizzard now says the Titan Relic is given back for Earthen Echo and Prehistoric Prism after the preceding quests. This supersedes the earlier absence of an official quest-specific fix. It does not document a guaranteed retroactive recovery action for every already-blocked character.
New mouse-turn, Mac and lighting reports
Mouse-turn stutter and an M4 regression remain device-specific community reports. Separately, Rommax identifies swapped raid/non-raid Secondary Lighting settings and suggests matching the two. The dedicated lighting guide covers login/zoning comparisons and temporary player attempts; a confirmed diagnosis is not a completed client fix.
October 1 login incident and Australian dialog
The October 1 login notice is historical, not proof that a global outage continues. Kaivax's updated Australian notice confirms that specific social-dialog bug fixed at 04:00 AEDT on October 4. Do not use that resolution to declare every new mail, group or character-list failure fixed.
Gnomeregan: missing loot and final-boss credit
An October 3 player reports bosses dropping no loot and the final boss granting no quest credit. The player denies being in a raid group; replies speculate about test scope. No official reply or specific resolution was found in the accessible thread at this check. Report the boss, quest, party type and build; neither all Gnomeregan drops nor a particular item is confirmed fixed.
Quest objects already being used / no loot
Independent Durotar, Westfall, Elwynn and Skyborne reports describe persistent interaction or no-loot errors. Benedict's Chest, Threat from Below and A Last Request are among the dated cases. No general repair is confirmed; abandonment has failed for some players. Use the world-object guide to distinguish object eligibility, mixed relog attempts and an unverified root cause.
The Anchors of Zephras: gift dialogue blocked
October 3–5 testers report Halaan's gift dialogue failing to start the Anchor Pylon viewing step, including both factions. The separate guide records the intended objective and safe reporting checks. This is repeated player evidence, not a staff-confirmed fix or proof every Skyborne character is blocked.
October 4–5 Auction House, mail and chat incident
Players continue to report internal-auction errors and a closed Auction House on October 5, while other accounts can access it. October 4 mail/chat/invite delays have mixed follow-up: one author reported mail normalizing, but others still described delays. There is no verified blanket all-clear in these sources. Record realm/ruleset, time and exact failure; do not repeatedly resend gold or items, and do not infer a Mac-only or all-player outage.
Legacy unlock: eligible level, inaccessible menu
Some October 3–5 players cannot open Legacy above level 25. Blizzard's permanent unlock rules and planned Beta point grant are distinct from this access complaint. Check the Legacy guide before assuming another level or an addon install is required.
Official: October 6 restart scope
Blizzard announced chest-restocking fixes and specific elevator/transport disconnect and guild-error fixes with realm restarts. This is not confirmation that Titan Relic, every interaction object, all disconnects or the Auction House are fixed. Compare the exact claim and symptom before treating the old incident as current.
Community Reported: October 6/7 login and latency
No Realms after maintenance and route-dependent latency have separate scopes. A player-reported build number is not an official latest build; a Retail cross-region complaint is not proof of a Forever server-wide outage. Use the matching detailed guide rather than a universal restart/VPN promise.
Fixed: no-loot creature interaction, not every world object
October 8 restores Classic behavior for creatures that drop no loot. Keep separate chest/cupboard/oats and Halaan dialogue reports scoped to those objects; a creature fix is not evidence all interactive quest objects were repaired.
October 11: delayed mail, whispers and group invitations
Players report mail taking one to two minutes, delayed whispers and group invitations. This is community-reported behavior, not Blizzard's official incident confirmation. Capture realm, region, UTC time, reproduction steps and whether other services are responding before filing a bug report; do not repeatedly send items or abandon a group based only on a transient delay.
October 14: connection reports, not an official outage
Community Reported: October 14 follow-ups describe Beta connection failures, latency spikes and a 00328 message. Use the disconnect guide; no Blizzard-wide incident or universal repair is established by this thread.
