Questie for WoW Forever: Setup & Quest Coverage
Install the publisher's Forever-compatible Questie build, troubleshoot missing markers and distinguish client support from incomplete new Forever quest data.
Quick answer
Yes: the Questie publisher lists Forever support in v12.0.3+v1.0.4, released September 30, with client version 1.60.1. Download from the original Questie project, not an old unofficial port. It can load on Forever without proving every new quest has markers: the team said new Forever content was absent at launch, and complete coverage is not established by the latest release notes.

Which Questie download should you use?
Use the original CurseForge Questie project and select its Forever-listed release. The reviewed file is Questie-v12.0.3+v1.0.4.zip; the combined label includes Questie and QuestieDB versions. The same file supports several Classic flavors, so the multi-flavor label is not itself an incompatibility. Verify the Forever flavor instead of choosing an arbitrary Retail or legacy port.
Install into the correct Beta client
Fully exit the game. Open the actual Forever installation folder through Battle.net; use that client's Interface/AddOns directory, not a different Retail/Classic installation. Extract the publisher package while preserving its addon folders; each addon's .toc must be directly inside its folder, not nested under an extra zip-name folder. Reopen the client and enable the installed addons in its AddOns list. These are installation checks, not Blizzard endorsement of Questie.
Questie is not listed
First compare the folder you installed into with the client you launched. Check for an extra nesting level, a different flavor or a second old Questie copy. Keep a backup of existing settings before replacing files; do not delete your whole WTF directory as an installation shortcut. The publisher's current download is preferable to editing an outdated port's TOC by hand.
Questie loads but new quests have no markers
Client compatibility and quest database completeness are different. The developer's September 25 release announcement explicitly said new Forever content was not yet included and described ongoing data collection. September 30 notes fix a Forever Journey error and other UI problems, but do not announce complete new-quest coverage. Read the actual quest text and record its name/ID before reporting a missing marker.
Wrong location or tracker behavior
A changed Forever quest or spawn can invalidate older quest data. Confirm the quest is active and read its in-game objective, then compare with a current source rather than following an old marker indefinitely. If the UI errors, note the release and exact Lua message; v12.0.3 includes a Forever Journey fix and a non-English map-hover crash fix. No universal reset command is verified here.
Does QuestieTrace mean all quests are known?
No. QuestieTrace is the team's optional data-collection project, intended to improve new-content coverage. The developer describes collected gameplay data as anonymous; review its own documentation before choosing to contribute. This site does not collect that data or install the addon for you, and participation is not a requirement for reading the in-game quest log.
Settings disappear after restart
This can be a separate Beta settings/SavedVariables symptom rather than missing quest data. Back up profiles and record whether the failure occurs after reload, relog or full exit. See the Addons Hub before using third-party persistence tools; they are not official Blizzard fixes.
What remains unverified
Full coverage of Forever-added quests, every new dungeon chain and a guaranteed fix for every marker/profile issue are not established. Publisher support is direct evidence of the release, not multi-player verification that every feature works in every locale.
