Honor and Rank Points are not interchangeable
Honor buys gear. Rank Points unlock ranks through PvP activities and relevant quests; holiday battlegrounds add progression opportunities. A displayed Honor balance alone does not establish that your rank permits a particular purchase. Compare the rank panel and vendor requirement before diagnosing a missing reward.
Where to check your rank
Open the Character pane, then the Player vs. Player tab. It lists current rank, points and eligible rewards. Record these before contacting support about an unavailable upgrade. Never share private account details in a public report, and do not assume a third-party calculator uses current Beta thresholds.
Published rank reward milestones
Rank 2 unlocks the PvP trinket; rank 8 starts epic bracer/belt upgrades; rank 11 unlocks mounts; rank 14 unlocks epic weapons. The official article provides the complete intermediate reward list. This page does not invent prices, per-week point caps or the time needed to reach each milestone.
Blue gear, seals and epic upgrades
The announced upgrade path needs the corresponding blue piece plus an Emboldened Seal. A seal's rank gate is separate from its purchase cost. If upgrading fails, inspect the specific slot, base item and current rank rather than buying unrelated pieces or assuming a higher Honor balance bypasses the requirement.
Season tasks and future access
Season journeys award progression; three tasks per season also award Legacy Points. Blizzard says the Legacy-linked tasks remain available in future seasons. That does not supply a catch-up speed guarantee, every season's task list or a full policy for future rank resets. Recheck announcements before planning a long-term purchase route.
What remains unknown
Do not treat unofficial point tables, estimated grind hours or a claimed fastest battleground as Blizzard rules. This guide separates the published reward system from live client measurements. For Honor cap and gear-cost changes use the existing guide, not a second competing Honor page.
