WoW Forever Stress Test: October 21 Times & How to Join
Join the rescheduled WoW Forever stress test without a subscription or Beta invite. Check regional times, Battle.net installation and the character wipe.
Quick answer
The open stress test moved from October 19 to October 21. Any WoW account can join without a subscription, Game Time, invitation or Beta entitlement. EU starts at 19:00 CEST; Americas/Oceania at 14:00 PDT. Korea and Taipei start on October 22 locally. Install the Stress Test client, not just Beta. Test characters, names and guilds will be wiped; this is not Name Reservation.
Use your region's start, not one global countdown
Blizzard publishes separate regional starts. EU October 21 at 19:00 CEST is October 21 at17:00 UTC. Americas/Oceania October 21 at14:00 PDT is21:00 UTC. Korea October 22 at06:00 KST and Taipei October 22 at05:00 CST also correspond to21:00 UTC on October 21. These are not simultaneous with the EU start. The old October 19 announcement is superseded; a stale launcher label is not a new schedule. The notice gives a few hours, with no guaranteed exact end time.
Install the separate test option in Battle.net
Update the Battle.net desktop app, select World of Warcraft and open Game Version above Play. Under In Development choose World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test, then Install. Once installation finishes and your region's test opens, choose Play, select an available test realm and create a test character. If the option is absent, check the signed-in account and current official notice before spending money. A Beta invitation is not required for this event; an ordinary Beta entitlement problem belongs to the separate access guide.
What happens to Beta and your temporary progress
The official plan takes Beta offline shortly before the stress event and expects to reopen it afterward. This is a planned handover, not evidence that your local connection needs repair. Play normally—quests, grouping, trading and chat are useful server-load activities. Do not reserve a desired permanent name through the test: its characters, names and guilds are temporary. Kaivax confirms a complete wipe of the stress realms. That statement must not be stretched into a claim that every regular Beta character is deleted at the exact stress-test shutdown.
Keep three different access decisions separate
Open stress-test access does not grant a permanent Beta invitation or paid launch entitlement. Early Name Reservation is the separately announced October 27–November 3 period for eligible upgrade purchases, not a reward for taking part here; desired names are not guaranteed. November 4 is the announced launch milestone in the US publication, with regional calendar differences explained in the release guide. Before planning leave or buying anything, match the product, region and milestone to the official wording rather than treating a free few-hour test as the full release.
