Confirm the update, try the intended gift dialogue and inspect quest credit. Do not delete items or abandon the chain on the assumption that a reset is required.
Normal objective: view the Anchor Pylon
The Beta quest record lists Halaan Hawk-Eye as the start and turn-in NPC and 'View the Anchor Pylon' as the objective. Accept the quest, read its current objective and use Halaan's gift dialogue. Confirm viewing credit in your log before turning it in to him. The record describes the intended chain, not proof that the latest client executes it successfully.
Historical reports: Where progress stops after Halaan's gift
The October 3 opening report identifies the dialogue selection as the failing point, with no transition to viewing the anchor. Independent replies repeat the symptom; October 4–5 players still report being stuck. Do not mistake that for a missing chest, an empty-loot problem or a prerequisite being automatically completed.
Historical reports: Alliance and Horde reports
The original tester later checked Horde as well as Alliance, and Horde Shaman/Druid replies describe the same block. This supports reported cross-faction scope, not a claim that all races, classes, realms or characters fail. Include faction and character context when comparing with another report.
What to try without risking the quest chain
Editorial checks: confirm this exact quest is active and the gift dialogue is available, close and reopen the conversation once, and compare the quest counter. Record any relog test separately. These checks narrow the failure; the thread does not establish relogging, changing layers or abandoning the quest as a reliable repair. Do not delete quest items or reset the chain on that assumption.
What if Skyborne progression remains blocked?
Check whether another quest is actually available in your current log; do not assume there is a verified skip past this step. If the starting-zone chain is blocked, preserve it and report the interaction.
