Modern Warfare 4 TPM 2.0 & Secure Boot Checks

Check MW4 security prerequisites in Windows before changing firmware. Understand TPM status, UEFI and Secure Boot with safe official next steps.

Quick answer

MW4 requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. Start with Windows read-only checks: tpm.msc for readiness/version, and msinfo32 for UEFI and Secure Boot State. Missing or Off values need hardware-specific follow-up, not an anti-cheat bypass. Do not clear TPM, delete keys or convert your boot disk just to experiment.

Inspect first, change nothing

Check both features independently. A supported TPM can be disabled; a Windows 11 installation alone does not replace inspection of the actual current status.

  1. Press Windows+R, enter tpm.msc. Read readiness and Specification Version; distinguish 2.0 from Manufacturer Version.
  2. Open msinfo32. Record BIOS Mode and Secure Boot State. Expected values are UEFI and On.
  3. Record the PC/motherboard model and Windows version before contacting its official support.

Use the result to choose the next step

TPM unavailable may mean disabled firmware or unsupported hardware. Secure Boot Off differs from Unsupported, and Legacy boot is not merely an off toggle. Use Activision's official troubleshooting and your OEM documentation. Preserve backups and access to encryption recovery information before any firmware work; ask the OEM about a safe migration path rather than guessing.

Keep security prompts in their official context

Activision documents TPM registration prompts, including CODBrokerInstaller.exe and enrollaik.exe, and some firmware-specific registration problems. Verify you launched the genuine installed game and follow its support article; a similarly named random web download is not trusted. No registry bypass or disabled security protection is recommended here.
