Activision specifies 115 GB of available SSD space at launch, with extra space potentially needed for mandatory updates. Minimum is not the same as the recommended 90-FPS High target, and ray-traced 4K is explicitly upscaled. TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, DirectX12 and supported CPU/GPU prerequisites also apply.

Activision scopes these specifications to desktops; similarly named laptop GPUs can differ. Intel/AMD CPUs must support AVX, Intel Arc needs Resizable BAR, and broadband/DirectX12 are required. The table follows Support's recommended i7-8700; the PC blog instead prints i7-8700K. Do not silently treat those different model names as identical, or a matching GPU alone as certified support.
After checking hardware, use the MW4 driver and first-run settings preparation to separate published recommendations from unverified FPS claims.
Before buying more storage
Inspect the intended SSD's free space, not total capacity. Leave headroom for updates. Read the requirements and your laptop/OEM specification together; then check TPM/Secure Boot and the published driver list. A preload size can differ from installed launch storage.
If your uncertainty is ownership rather than disk space, read the MW4 Game Pass versus standalone purchase explanation before buying another copy or treating a subscription tile as a license.
