Quick answer

PC preload opened ahead of the October 16 Campaign Early Access release, which Activision now confirms live for eligible digital purchases. DMZ is scheduled October 20 and full release October 23. For the named Xbox on PC missing Campaign-button issue, Activision says it is addressed and advises restarting the game. Check the actual storefront purchase and installed content; downloading or subscribing to Game Pass is not the same as entitlement.

Campaign is live; an Xbox on PC launch-button issue is addressed

Activision's October 16 release notice confirms Campaign Early Access is live for eligible Standard Digital or Vault Edition preorders/purchases. It names Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PS5, Battle.net, Steam and Nintendo Switch 2. Its Known Issues page separately says an issue preventing some Xbox on PC installations from showing the Campaign launch button has been addressed; remaining affected players should restart the game. This is not a promise that every locked mode, storefront entitlement or crash has been fixed.

DMZ Early AccessScheduled October 20; do not treat the live Campaign as a DMZ unlock.
Full launchOctober 23; the preload clock is not a universal unlock clock.

Historical Xbox PC reports and the later scoped official response

October 16 players reported being unable to launch Campaign and described unsuccessful reinstall attempts. Activision now confirms that the missing launch-button issue affecting some Xbox on PC players has been addressed and recommends restarting the game if it persists. That official response supersedes the earlier absence of a confirmed fix for this named symptom, not every different launcher failure. Retain the exact screen message and purchase/account details for support; repeated reinstalls, duplicate purchases or disabling protection are not prescribed repairs.

October 15 clarification: purchase, Campaign and DMZ are different gates

Activision says launch requires a separate purchase, not a Game Pass subscription. Digital preorders receive Campaign access starting October 16 and DMZ starting October 20, subject to platform, time-zone and outage caveats. Full release remains October 23. A passed calendar date or finished preload does not prove every account/mode unlocked.

Three dates mean three different actions

On October 15 you can prepare the announced PC download; October 16 concerns eligible campaign access; October 23 is full release. 9AM PT on October 15 is 16:00 UTC, or October 16 00:00 Beijing, using that date's daylight offset. This conversion applies to preload only.

ItemCurrent information
PC preloadOctober 15 09:00 PT; digital prepurchase. Do not apply an old Beta download window.
Campaign Early AccessOctober 16; eligible digital preorder. A precise shared unlock hour is not independently confirmed here.
Full releaseOctober 23. The PC blog states midnight local time; confirm your platform/region listing rather than applying the preload clock or an old Beta unlock.

If the download or campaign entry is missing

Use the launcher where your purchase exists. Read its library entitlement and update the launcher normally. Before the relevant announced window, a locked option is not proof of a bug. After it, record the store, edition, region and message for official support; do not buy a duplicate copy or use unofficial downloads.

If the launcher instead names a security prerequisite, use the MW4 TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot checks before changing firmware; a missing license and an unsupported security state are different problems.

Official status: Conservative account/window checks, not a verified launch-failure fix
